We believe that strong partnerships between home and nursery are essential in helping children feel happy, confident and successful in their learning. You know your child best, and we value the important role you play in their development.
We pride ourselves on being friendly, approachable and always happy to listen. Our staff are available at the end of each nursery session to chat about your child's progress, celebrate their achievements or answer any questions you may have. If you would prefer a longer conversation, we are always happy to arrange a meeting at a convenient time.
Keeping in Touch
Every child has a home/school communication book, providing an easy way for parents and staff to share information. We love hearing about your child's achievements and experiences at home, whether it's learning a new skill, enjoying a family day out or celebrating a special occasion. You can also use the book to share important updates, such as a restless night's sleep or anything else that might help us support your child during their day.
Sharing Our Learning
Each half term, we send home a curriculum newsletter to keep you informed about what your child will be learning. This includes the exciting topics, stories, activities and skills we will be exploring, helping you to talk about and build on your child's learning at home.
Encouraging Learning at Home
- Nursery Library – Children have the opportunity to choose a book from our nursery library each week to take home and enjoy with their families. Sharing books together is a wonderful way to develop language, imagination and a lifelong love of reading.
- Home Learning Bags – Children can take home specially prepared activity bags containing fun, practical resources to help develop important early skills. Activities may focus on counting, sorting, early mathematics, cutting, reading and other areas of learning.
These activities are designed to be fun, simple and enjoyable, giving you opportunities to spend time together while supporting your child's growing confidence and independence.
By working together, we can give every child the very best start to their learning journey.
